Who else is in the community?
Trainers Conversations community renews every year and is made up of trainers from a wide variety of professional backgrounds.
In 2024, we were connecting from 8 different countries and the group included well-being trainers, technical skills trainers, and storytelling coaches.
We also had career transition coaches/trainers, project managers, and trainers specializing in soft skills, sales, or agile coaching.
Members came from fields as diverse as sports psychology, sustainability consulting, and IT, while others were experienced in social-emotional counseling, psychology, and training the trainer programs.
Such diversity of backgrounds ensures that each conversation is rich with diversity of perspectives and experiences, and for our discussions to always remain dynamic and fresh.

The backbone of the Trainers Conversations community is 2h long monthly calls, happening on the last Tuesday of each month.
Starting with a get2know call, we iterate throughout the year between content-based masterclasses & discussion-based community calls.

Led by Mirna, each masterclass dives into a relevant topic selected by the group, such as keeping learners in flow, using embodiment in training, managing emotions in facilitation, or exploring new tools from diverse areas of training & facilitation.
The masterclass consists of 1 hour of content focused on practical, science-based tools you can apply immediately to enhance your training sessions, followed by 30 minutes of discussing practical applications, and 30 minutes for community connection.

If you miss a session or want to revisit the content, you’ll have permanent access to recordings for self-paced learning.

About Mirna Šmidt - Trainer guiding you through Trainers Conversations
Mirna Šmidt brings 17 years of hands-on training experience and a strong foundation in psychology and adult learning. With an MSc in Engineering & Computing from the University of Zagreb and an MSc in Applied Positive Psychology from Cambridge, she combines scientific insight with practical experience to create memorable, goal-driven learning experiences.
Since completing a one-year Train the Trainer program in 2008, she has refined her expertise across diverse fields, including NLP, coaching, and brain-based learning.
Mirna has delivered programs in over 30 countries for NGOs, startups, and corporations like Cisco, L’Oreal, and Molson Coors, engaging participants from more than 50 nations and leading workshops at global conferences like HR Week and Women in Data Science.
As the founder of Trainers Toolbox and Happiness Academy, she focuses on advanced facilitation, positive psychology, and empowering trainers to design impactful learning environments.

Trainers Conversations is ideal if you’ve facilitated workshops and want new ideas, feedback, and practical tools. Whether you’re a seasoned professional or just starting, you’ll gain valuable insights here.
Trainers Conversations is designed for those with some facilitation experience, but consultants and junior trainers are also welcome to keep discussions diverse. As long as you’ve run workshops before and plan to continue, you’ll fit right in.
To get the full value, you’re expected to attend both. This helps foster a true community and gives you the most enriching experience.
All masterclasses are recorded, so you won’t miss the main content. However, the Q&A and community calls are live-only to ensure full engagement. We also send summaries if you miss something. If you can’t commit to at least 50% of sessions, it may be best to join another time.
Minimal. Occasionally, you may need to check emails, answer short surveys, or prepare if you’re presenting (around 30-40 minutes). Extra time averages about 30 minutes a month.
Yes, we’re hosting a free Trainers Meetup Call on December 4th. Join in to ask questions, meet other members, and learn more about the community.
